Handyperson Service

Helping you stay on top of household repairs and DIY. No job is too small – we can help with everything from changing a light bulb, repairing fixtures and fittings to small plumbing jobs, and joinery.

Our trusted Handyperson Service team are friendly, experienced, multi-skilled tradespersons who have all been DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked and carry ID cards.

  • General Repairs

    Minor plumbing (tap washers) fit curtain rail/hang curtains, assemble flat pack furniture, repair fixtures & fittings, etc…

  • Fire Safety

    Home fire safety advice, Fit Smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detector, ease doors

  • Grab rails

    Assess/fit grab rails

  • Remove trip/fall hazard

    Simple lighting improvement, change light bulbs, declutter, secure floor coverings, reorganise furniture, relocate/fix trailing wires, key safe, ease doors. Cut back over hanging shrubs/bushes, clear/pressure wash access routes to property and bins, level flags/paving, ease doors

  • Security Work

    Advice on how to avoid door-step crime/rogue trader. Install Door Chain, Spy hole, Bolts, window locks, glass alarms, ease doors, change locks, external security lighting, new door, fit new gate, make repairs to windows/doors

  • Dementia Practical support service

    Our Handyperson Service provides practical support to help people living with dementia remain safe and independent in their own home.

  • Paint door frames and light switches in a colour that contrasts with the walls around them

Our Charges

We work hard to keep our service charges to a minimum. Many of our services are offered free of charge or for a subsidised hourly rate, plus the cost of any materials. Where there is a charge for a service, we will always let you know in advance, and you can always decide not to have the work done.
