Advice Service

Our advice service aims to give you all the information, guidance and support you may need to make informed choices about living independently. We can also help to make sure you get the right support from other organisations and that you are accessing all the financial support you are entitled to.
Our friendly team of caseworkers can provide independent, timely and relevant advice and support to allow you to stay independent and at home.

We can help you with:

  • Filling in forms
  • Helping you apply for grants and funding applications
  • Signposting you to other relevant services and organisations that can help you.

Technical Support

Our technical support provides independent, timely and relevant advice and support to people to enable them to understand their options in relation to major adaptations and repairs, we can provide you with the following support:

  • Home visits to understand your needs.
  • Support on how to get works completed.
  • Referrals to trusted contractors who can complete the work.
  • Advising you of other relevant services and organisations that can help you.


Home from Hospital Service

We work closely with the hospital discharge teams to identify and support you If you need minor adaptations and repairs at home to enable you to be discharged from hospital.

Following a Free Healthy Home Assessment, we can complete work in your home, giving you peace of mind that, when you are discharged from hospital, you will be returning to a safe and comfortable home. This will help reduce risks in the home that may lead to future admissions, A&E attendance or the need to access other health or social care services.
This work can include:

  • Fitting grab rails
  • De-cluttering/improving access routes around the home
  • Improving access routes
  • Moving furniture to make space for new equipment and/or to bring a bed downstairs
  • Removing trip hazards and improving lighting.
